Lulu and the Zakaleo Band – Lekha (Malawi)
The Zakaleo Band is one of the new live bands from Malawi. Singer Said Abdalla alias Lulu is a professional percussionist, rhythmic guitarist and lead singer. Zaka-leo stands for old & young. As the group consists of well experienced musicians and newcomer. They are fusing Luhya, Swahili, Arabic and English languages and they call their style Afro-classical music.
Lekha is a love song that draws inspiration from East African bands from the 70s and western groups like Dire Straights.
